Cannabidiol, abbreviated to “CBD”, is one of approximately 12 “phytocannabinoids” naturally occurring in hemp plants. CBD is a beneficial medicinal compound that is naturally present in all strains of hemp. CBD is not a psychoactive compound — it will not get you high.
The best way to administer CBD oil is by putting a few drops under your tongue. The CBD oil absorbs into your bloodstream via the sebaceous glands under your tongue. It is recommended that you take a few drops under the tongue in the morning, and perhaps again later in the day. Your afternoon or evening dose should be taken early, before your evening meal (dinner/supper). This way you can use the relaxing effects of CBD to get more enjoyment out of your evening meal.
If you are experiencing pain in your muscles, joints, or skin, you can administer CBD oil topically. We recommend taking CBD mixed with DMSO, or Dimethyl Sulfoxide. DMSO is a super solvent, that is found in most trees. DMSO binds to CBD oil when blended, and carries the CBD oil through the skin. Once the DMSO has penetrated this skin, it can then circulate through the bloodstream and reach all of the CB1 and CB2 receptors throughout the body and brain.
